Hi all,

I have been browsing through the whole forum but I couldn't any solution.

I am getting this :

Steps:

1. Icon gets white & flashes error message - mysqld.exe has encountered a problem & needs to close....

2. Icon now gets yellow.

3. On clicking phpMyAdmin it gives error message "#2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on ' localhost' (10061)"

In short........ Cannot connect to the database.

What I did-------->

I have tried looking for port 3306 in my.ini file.

I have disabled my firewall & antivirus NOD32(WAMP along with my antivirus NOD32 was working fine since 15 days.)

Tried installing WAMP 5 times. ( still the same error)

Tried installing only MySQL (still the same error)

PLZZZZZZ help me with this. I have googled a lot & experimented still my 5 hrs of efforts didn't answer me.

Thanks in advance.

If wamp icon is yellow, then mysql service is not running (because of mysqld has encountered problems) and so phpMyAdmin wont work.
You should get errors description in mysql log file (from wamp menu).

Nice log winking smiley

I found a possible solution on this forum :

1. Open Control Panel and click "Performance and Maintenance" then "Administrative Tools"(assuming the new style look, not the classic. In the classic version you should go directly to Administrative Tools)
2. Double click "Services" and then double click "wampmysqld"
3. Click the "Log On" tab, and then right underneath "Local System account", check the box for "Allow service
to interact with desktop".
4. Click the "General" tab and click "start" to start the service.

Hope this help for you..

Every time I start the wamp or the above solution I get the error message popup

i.e.[pawankumarp2000.googlepages.com].

Is there any solution other than formatting my PC????

uninstall wamp, remove wamp folder, uninstall any antivirus and firewall, restart pc, reinstall wamp before any antivirus and firewall, try wamp again

I wonder whether Wamp developers kno abt this error.
did you ever wonder why thousands people already downloaded, installed and run wamp successful? how many other users have similar error like yours do you see here? and after a little troubleshoot, it mostly turn out that particular user has either other app/server/settings or firewall/antivirus block this wampserver to run properly, so I can bet if you reformat hard drive as stated and install only windows and this wampserver, they will both run w/o any error winking smiley in other words, you have to check your own pc to figure out what factor that block this wamp (or any other app) to run properly since we're not at your pc to see what runs on it and only based on what you posted here and try to help you out, but as you can guess, the recommendations are based on guess which is not accurate as expected
btw, nod32 is a very good antivirus, and don't get me wrong since I really meant it's good, and since it's TOO GOOD, it blocks a lot of apps, not just this wamp and that the reason why I've tried it once and since it's TOO GOOD, I never tried it again winking smiley

oh, forgot to tell you that at that time, I've had only windows, wampserver and nod32, nothing else, and they're running very good together and I kept suggested wamp+nod32 users the settings that I've used until 1 day, my wamp stop working, and I've never mentioned about nod32 again since users have a right to pick an antivirus that they trust winking smiley
