can't connect to server

I have installed a fresh copy of WampServer 2.0h on Vista. When I run the program all services appear to start and server appears to be online.

The problem is I can't open Localhost or phpMyAdmin or connect to the server at all.

Port 80 is not being used by Skype or other program.

Thank you for any help! Much appreciated.

Hi,

Maybe you can try to uninstall / reinstall services.
=> Launch uninstall_services.bat
=> Launch wampserver
=> Install Apache Service
=> Start Apache Service (icon become yellow)
=> Install Mysql Service
=> Start Mysql Service (icon become white)

Tell us if it solves your problem...

Thanks for your help, but unfortunately this did not solve the problem.

The WampServer tray icon is solid white, indicating all services are running and server is online - but still I can't connect to the server with my browser.

Have you tried using your local ip (192.168..) ?
It worked for some people.

Can you past here you host file content ? (probably in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc)

it should be as follows
127.0.0.1 localhost
