WampServer

Hi All

Newbie so please be gentle! I have installed wampserver on my windows xp machine. everything went ok.
I set up as per [guides.jlbn.net] everything seemed to go ok.

However when setting up Joomla at step 1, which is type "[localhost]; into the browser I get the following error message.

jtablesession:tore Failed
DB function failed with error number 1146
Table 'joomla.jos_session' doesn't exist SQL=INSERT INTO jos_session ( `session_id`,`time`,`username`,`gid`,`guest`,`client_id` ) VALUES ( 'feqvo4i4rk0su97h1amfi89g05','1244725465','','0','1','0' )

Can anyone shed any light, have I made a mistake somewhere or is there something I haven't done/need to do?

Got fed up waiting for a reply. I deleted the joomla folder and all its sub folders in www. I ran the zip file again and moved all the folders to www. I also deleted the joomla user and database and recreated it. That seems to have solved the problem, whatever it was.

Spoke to soon. I got further this time to the part where it said that I must delete the install directory, which I did but you guessed it, I now have the same error message.

Can anyone help?

it might be browser cache, so clear cache and re-try it
