WampServer

Hi
I have just installed wampserver with the server online and when I click to use any of the apps all that happen is a white screen in Firefox nothing loads. I am using win xp service pack 2 IIS is not installed.

Try this, it works for me

Stop the server, open httpd.conf ( Wamp Taskbar menu, -> Apache -> Httpd.conf )

Go to line 33 and add this

Win32DisableAcceptEx
EnableMMAP off

Save changes, close it, and start server

Go to line 33 and add this? what does line 33 start with i counted 33 lines there was just text

is the wamp icon white?

i tried verious things like changing the port i went through similar post and tried your advice you gave to others

its

but since its white it shudnt matter..

what programs are running on the pc for antivirus and anything that may use the web..


have u tried in IE?

LOL. nod 32 is a defintite port blocker fro wamp. ul need to unistalled it... reisntall wamp then reinstall nod32

also commando firewall doesnt alwys allow wamp thru autmaticall.y so u may need to add your own rules

i did set a rule for comando

nod32 needs to be installed after wamp,,, no other fix for it

thats a big task reinstalling nod32

ok here was the test

i uninstalled both wamp and nod reinstalled wamp test phpmyadmin it worked reinstalled nod it no longer works LOL. it seems i owe you an apology i didnt think nod was the problem. so what now

its ok., i dunno tho... usully nod32 wont stop it once wamp is installed..

you have two PIDS holding onto the port..

try ending them as they are on CLOSE_WAIT




you need to check PID 3256(last number on the line) AND 3512

you check this in task manager "ctrl alt del"

In the processes tab look for PID (Process ID)

( if there is no column for PID then add it by clicking VIEW > SELECT COLUMNS > TICK PID)

whats the name of the process with these PIDs?

try ending the both processes and then restart wamp
