WampServer

I installed wamp yesterday on my widows xp box. I've installed wordpress and smf forum without any errors. When I execute any one of them the page wil come right up, but it hangs up fully loading. The progress bar in the bottom of my browser usually just goes about half way across. Does anyone know what could be causing this and what I can do to speed it up?
