phpinfo doesn't show mysql at all

Hi All,
This may be the very ancient error and everyone is aware about but being new to WAMP, i am facing a basic problem. Hope someone can help me.
despite of being extension=php_mysql.dll in php.ini (all the places where php.ini is present) i can't see mysql when i do phpinfo() from any php page. That means I'm not being able to do anything about database.
Can anyone please help me how to solve it. I'm using Vista OS by the way.
