WampServer

Please can someone help me.

I can not seem to get a clone of my live Joomla website working on WAMP localhost. I get the below error when I try to open the site..


"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

I have made sure that the apache and php versions are the same as my live site server. I have altered the configuration.php file to reflect the localhost DB settings. I have imported the mysql database and given a username and password within PHP myadmin but it will not work.

I have installed several fresh Joomla installs on the WAMP localhost and they work fine. Just can not get the clone to work.

Any idea's? any help would be great.

My Joomla website has got adsmanager running on it. Is that what you mean?

I mean whatever you add-on, you have to manually add it/them to your local joomla on wamp too

But I have taken an exact clone of my live site and installed all the files in the localhost directory (ie a full back up). I have then imported the database from my live site. So I dont think I should have to install features etc again. It should just work as my live site does?

Maybe I am missing something. The php error log is as below :

Hope someone can help. I installed php 4.4.7 and apache 2.0.52 yesterday to match the exact setting of my hosting server, but I was having the same probs before I installed these.

Have you made sure that you have enabled mod_rewrite and all necessary apache modules for your current version of apache?
