Hi

I got WAMP set up and everything was working fine unitl I restarted my computer and got this error message when I tried to start phpMyAdmin.

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

Whats gone wrong and how can I fix it ?

How can I fix it now.

follow these steps

goto my site >>[pampserver.com] and download the three files.


IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!
shut down wamp


goto C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.1.45\data\mysql

delete the same 3 files and replace with my versions.

Now ul just have 1 user "root" with no password


then goto into phpmyadmin and make a new use. give them full access. open your phpmyadmin config file and will in this user and password. make sure u can sign in with this person before deleting root

or just add a password to root and fill it in in the phpmyadmin config file

Where do I find my phpmyadmin config file ?

since you don't know the password, you should download resetmysql here

then follow here to setup password
