Is it possible to use MySQL Administrator with WampServer 2.0?

I get the following error when starting Administrator after the
connection dialog:

Quote

Either the server service or the configuration file could not be found. Startup variables and service section are therefore disabled.

Fixed it! Yay! MySQL Administrator was looking for a 'my.cnf' file instead of a 'my.ini' file. To fix the problem follow these steps:

1. Ignore the error message.
2. Goto 'Service Control'
3. Click the 'Configure Service' tab.
4. In the 'Configuration File' section, in the 'Config Filename' text box, change the extension, from '.cnf' to '.ini'
5. Click the 'Apply Changes' button
6. Goto 'File > Reconnect'

Hi,

That was handy. However, you do not need to turn on the MySQL server service from the MySQL Administrator, you can do that from the WAMP icon in the System Tray, and in any case the service starts automatically when WAMP starts.

The MySQL Administrator is a client application and the web server does not have to run on the same workstation or localhost, unlike when using phpMyAdmin. You can connect to a remote MySQL server through TCP port 3306, as long as you know what the name of your computer is from the remote server's viewpoint.

I don't feel like explaining it to you, since you obviously don't understand what's going on. I started learning HTML when I was 10, by 12 I had HTML mastered and had started learning CSS (14), after that I started learning C++ (15) and C# (16), then PHP (16) and MySQL (17). I understand what's going on underneath the hood, so to speak. Sorry in advance if i sound pissed off, i didn't sleep well last night. whatever.
