Is mysql and php connected when wamp is intalled? if not what is the method of checking?

When you start wamp , Apache PHP and MySQL should start.

The wamp icon beside your clock is your meter.

The Icon always starts red.


Then iF it...

stays red - server+php and mysql not started

yellow + white -- one of (server+php) or (mysql) did not start

white -- both started successfully. smiling smiley


If one fails to start you can LEFT click wamp icon and goto - start services.


There is also detailed logs in c:/wamp/logs when something does not start.

You can post up logs here if your having issues.
