How could I change Mysql username and password

Hi
I`m new to WampServer , that`s great smiling smiley
I know by default mysql username is "root" and has no password ,
how could I change them ?

Thanks , but can you guide me to change or assign password to current "root" user ?
I have changed "root" user from phpmyadmin "Edit Privileges" page but nothing is changed and I`m working with my previous configuration !
