Discovered the problem, my ISP (Bellsouth) dosn't allow hosting of any sorts and blocked all my ports... is there any way around this?

well there are two possibilities.

1) you have an acces to the router on your gateway (you know it's password). in that case you can easily redirect port from the router to your computer (it's called NAT or Port forwarding in the router's options page), but i recommend you to NOT redirect the 80 port, do it with for example 8080 and in wamp's apache's options set the port to 8080 also, because port 80 is often used for example by skype.

2) you have no acces to the router. then your only possibility is to contact your provider and buy for you an static IP address, and that is public indeed, so ALL ports are redirected to your computer and you need to set anything, but it is a charged service.
