Hey folks,

I wanted to have my server to be a http download website, but when a friend starts a download , it only downloads with 130-150kb/s, but at the server that runs my website (from a company) it's downloading with full speed sad smiley

Is there some options in WAMP settings, that I have to edit?

Regards,

Nicer

Hi,

It is not clear from your description what the setup is. If your WAMP server is running on a reasonable workstation behind a fast ISP connection, there is no reason why the speed would not be fast to external users.

If you access your WAMP site from the LAN (Local Area Network), the speed is entirely different.

Hi,

The WAMP server is running on a dedicated server that is hosted at a pro company and the connection is 100/100 Mbit, so it shouldn't be such a "lame" speed even over the internet

The host is in France and client is in Denmark (and I don't think either ISP is traphicshaping) because I can use P2P programs with full speed

Hi,

I think what 'toivo' was asking is ... Is the dedicated server sat on a 100MBPS external connection.

An internal will be 100/10, 10/100 or 100/100.

The bigger the BB Connection the faster the external downloads will be.

Hope that answers your question
