getting access denied error for phpMyAdmin 2.11.6

Hi all,

Im getting this error message when I try to use phpMyAdmin 2.11.6 on my windows Xp Pro sp2 machine

ERROR

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)



How do I fix this problem?

Did you try to setup password? Follow this instruction and skip steps already done
