Reinstall Wamp and put everything back from backup, will this work?

Because there's something wrong with my Wampserver and i can't access my PhpMyAdmin anymore to save my sql files i want to reinstall Wamp. I backuped my entire Wamp directory.
After deleting Wamp and then reinstall it again will it be enough to work if i put everything back from my backuped files in the www directory and the wamp/bin/mysql/mysql5.5.24/data?

maybe/maybe not

it depends on the db format, if they are MYISSAM , they will be ok, if they are INNODB , good chance you will corrupt them.

Phpmyadmin not working is a very bad reason to reinstall a web server!

why dont you concentrate on the issue you have?

what error are you getting? can you install teamviewer and i can take a look?

phpmyadmin can be reinstalled,

passwords can be reset

db can be exported into sql format before reinstalling wamp using command line.

reinstalling beforetrying these is not recommened

How can i see what format the db is? In the db directories i have fRM, MYD and MYI files.

The issue is that my Wamp icon stays red and i can't make a connection with my localhost and PhpMyAdmin anymore. My Apache and MySQL are not running and Apache and MySQL install service don't work.
If i click in Apache/service on "Start/Resume service" i get an error that says:
Aestan Tray Menu
Could not execute menu item (internal error)
[Exeption] Could not perform service action:
Access denied

What do i have to fill in the command line for exporting the sql db files? I have Windows 8.

If i can't get it to work i will set up Teamviewer.

you need to be an admin user to use wampserver, if your getting access denied, this sounds as if your not logged in as an admin user

Before it always worked also without being an admin. Now even being an admin Wamp doesn't work. This problem started when i deleted some pokersoftware and related PostgreSQL that i didn't like after testing.

well if the services are not working and your getting access denied, its definitly permissions with your account


grab teamviewer and ill take a quick troubleshoot with it
