Hello everyone,

What's exactly the purpose of the "Put Online/Put Offline" online menu item? It seems to have no effect on external access to apache, which I thought was its purpose.

When in off-line mode, only you can access your wamp and only on the computer that has wamp installed; when in on-line mode, your wamp can be accessed through LAN and Worldwide

it should..... online/offine allows your server to connect outside of the localhost(192.xxx.xxx.xxx) and onto the internet

some people get an error when they try change it, but reinstalling seems to fix it

Hmm... this is most strange then. I have it offline now. If any of you would be so kind to connect to [marlap.dyndns.org] and tell me if you see the 403 page, would be great. You shouldn't right?

I have my firewall accepting http requests on port 80 and in fact everything is working fine. However, with the wamp server offline I can seem to still be able to access apache.

Sorry, i'm confused. You shouldn't see that, should you? That means apache replied to you and is consequently accessible.

if you instead go to [marlap.dyndns.org] (an alias) you will consequently be able to enter the website I'm developing at the moment. And yet I have the wamp server offline.

I'm sorry, if I'm insisting on this subject. You guys are probably trying to tell me something I'm not getting.

i shud see your 403 page...

when u switch wamp to offline,. it stops people connecting to pages in ur www and sends then a 403 page

u can edit wat ur 403 page says.

this means only people on the same network as u can access it.

im confused now too lol.. there both running on wamp? and wamp is off line???
i shudnt be able to see this second website but i can,
