php program not working...?

friends i am new to wamp and php...
i have one example code in php for uploading files into server and processing in server...

i can run that completely in old version of wamp5 installed in one of my system which has windows-2003 server

but i am getting error message

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /PHP/< on this server...."

in my system which has the newer version of wamp, which has XP .


and also when accessing "[localhost]; from internet explorer it shows only "it works" message
only possible 2 access folders from Mozilla FireFox which is assigned default browser for wamp...

why these errors are occuring??

if its due to some settings problems please help me in correcting it...

my program is working now.

the only problem now is that wamp server only opens in Mozilla FireFox, which was set as the default browser.

To run in other browser, just open it and type in localhost

no ...
its not working....

when typing
[localhost]
it show only
"it works!"


when opening a folder PHP in ww folder

[localhost]

"The page cannot be found" is the message showing

bt frm mozilla it works,,,

I guess you accidentally delete/replace the main index.php file in www

i have reinstalled the wamp server.

default index.php is there and also i have made internet explorer as the default browser for wamp.

now also the same problem in explorer.

its working in mozilla browser.

why this is happening.??
