WampServer

Now, I've seen this post not too far down the list of threads...but mine is a little more extensive.

So, I've been running Wampserver for a long time now, with no problems. All of the sudden, somebody tells me that my site doesn't load. So, I try everything I can to fix it, yet nothing works.

I didn't really want to deal with it, so I just reformatted the HDD and re-installed everything. And it worked!

So, at about 6:00 AM EST, I had a person go there, and it loaded perfectly fine for them. Now, at 6:00 PM EST, it doesn't work again. The ONLY things that have changed are the following:

Installed Windows Updates
12 Hours Time Advance

So, I'm guessing it's a windows update problem? If anybody knows about this, please POST IMMEDIATELY!

Ok, so...

I've reformatted the HDD again, and this time...here is a list of ALL of the programs I installed:

Wampserver 2.0
No-IP

I configured wampserver on both the PC and my router. I turned of Windows Firewall, and have NO other programs installed. STILL...nothing works :-/

I've tried changing port numbers, directories, drives, ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I could think of.

At this point, I'm thinking about giving up and just forgetting about having my own webserver...

Unless anybody else has ANY suggestions...I would love to hear them :-/

Nope...

Like I said, it worked perfectly for about 2 and a half years...but now, in one instant, without any changes, it just stopped :-/

I just contacted my ISP, and they haven't changed a thing.

So, somehow, for some reason...everything just stopped working :-/

You will never believe what I just discovered, and I have NO clue why this happens!

Ok, so I just found out that on my other computer (the one that's not hosting the server)...if I run Trillian on it, it will block all access to my OTHER computer (the one that IS hosting the server).

So, in conclusion:

Problem = Trillian Instant Messenger

It's that simple and nothing more -_-

Although, any more information about WHY, or HOW this happens...would be lovely.

Trust me, I have run SOOOO many tests on this thing, there is a 102% chance that the problem is purely related to Trillian.

So, any ideas why?

P.S. - Some further investigation shows that Trillian actually takes up ALL UDP ports on my computer for some reason. I'll post more when I find it.
