Just instaled and can not get it to work

Just installed WampServer and can not get it to work where can I find instructions on how to use.

You can find some guides on my websites; I'm still in progress to completely re-design my whole websites and I've pretty much done w/ main pages, but not the guides and they will be updated 1 by 1, so check back often

HI I take it you refer to floridaviialinfo.com I just had a look there is some problem with the Contact us page loading slow and 1 icon on the index page but apart from those 2 little hitches the site seems to be OK

Please let me know if this is not how it works for you.

I need WampServer because I am trying to build a Florida villa booking Webb site please have a look but it is a total mess at the moment.

Wamp2 is new, so I have to update all guides to reflect the changes, and it will take a while.

Since different people have different interests and request me to post their interested guides first, and of course, the interests are conflicted, so it seems I can't satisfy individual request; therefore, I will start update w/ the most basic first.

Please, be patient and check back often

I just need help gettin this entire thing setup. Can anyone help me? I'm currently running IIS 6.0 and I want to switch to WAMP due to a CMS I want to check out.

Firstly, wamp is intended for local developers. Second, there are too many ways to setup password and different people use different ways; however, some people might not use phpmyadmin so often and if using your way, when they need it they might forget the password; then, have hard time to figure out what it is or worse, they can NOT remember so they have to go through backup, uninstall, reinstall, restore, so on while w/ my way, it's easy to open config.inc.php to retrieve password

Try some different methods to setup password and pick the one that work for you or you like most

I was wrong, one last post.

I am well aware of what WAMP is designed for and I am well aware of how it is intended to be used by a select few.

That does not mean I don't and didn't have something to offer someone ASKING for help.

You sir have chosen to pick on me for some reason, I guess because I was trying to help others in a manner not to your liking, I do not know.

I do not wish to step on your toes any longer and will uninstall WAMP, I have no problems with configuring a server from scratch or using other packages.

WAMP appealed to me because it was easy to use and really quite easy to set up.


I do not wish to start a flame war with you or question your expertise, I just wanted to offer my assistance with a product I thought was cool.

This has really left me with a bad feeling.

Again, WAMP is awesome, but I won't be using it any longer.
