I CAN connect to the database via myphpadmin after a lot of work.
wamp already come w/ mysql, so make sure there is no other mysql running on same port. If you do have other mysql, then shut down wamp, backup db from old mysql, uninstall and clean registry from old mysql, shut down and restart computer, restart wamp; however, if you already edit any wamp's config file, you have to undo it, too, or better, backup all data including old db from previous mysql, new data and db from wamp, uninstall all including old mysql and wamp, delete old mysql folder as well as wamp folder, clean old mysql, wampapache, and wampmysql in registry, restart computer, then reinstall wamp
BEST solution is install wamp in different desktop/laptop, restore db from old mysql, check to make sure it's working before actually uninstall and clean up everything in your current computer
Have fun,
