Hello all,

installed wampserver and it appears to be working fine.

problem:
have to always refresh the page to get anything to display.
example: just enterd a name for a table and when i click save it displays the message page not found.
click refresh and it brings back the page with out saving the information.

same thing happens when i click [localhost] at fist i get a page not found but if i click refresh the page appears.

whats missing?

Check your firewall / router - make sure Port 80 is ENABLED.

As mentioned before - if you're using ZoneAlarm or other port blocking software, enable Port 80, or in the very least, take it down ONLY while testing.

Make sure the path where you have DocumentRoot (\apache2\conf\httpd.conf) - is infact, the folder you're serving from.

If I'm not wrong, I think you have a little problem w/ hardware, either not enough ram, hd is quite full, so on, so try to run defrag to see if it better.

Have fun

Hello All,

Thanks for the reply but problem still remains.

Regards to Hardware, my computer is very new and i have lots of hardware(120mb ram 1024mb ram).
wampserver is installed on the same computer i'm running htt[p:\\localhost from.
I havent modified the wampserver installation.

I tired this in IE and firefox and the same thing happens in both browser.
surfing the regular websites are fine.
its something on my pc itself is causing the problem, where i have to refresh to get the page back again.

the last 3 lines in teh apache log file:
[Mon Jan 01 17:38:34 2007] [warn] (OS 996)Overlapped I/O event is not in a signaled state. : winnt_accept: Asynchronous AcceptEx failed.

anyother ideas?

Same here on x64 DualCore AMD w 3GB of RAM and 1TB diskspace... This ain't outer firewall issue, since it works afer refresh, this clearly has nothing to do with not enough CPU power or disk space...

From my very amateur point of view it looks like timeouts you got usually from very busy servers during peak hours, but in miliseconds.

This is what I found so far...
