Apache 2 configuration

Hello-

There seems to be a difference in the default configuration for Apache 2. In the older versions of Apache, you could drop the extension of a file name and it would still work. For example, [www.blah.com] could also be accessed at either [www.blah.com] or [www.blah.com], provided there were no conflicting files or folders. However, this is not allowed in Apache 2 by default. Does anyone know what this option is called and how to enable it? It's not Mod_Rewrite. Any ideas?

Thanks,
