My sql password

Really basic this is but could someone please help me I tried installing mysql early on and apache but I couldn't get them to work, I set the password to "starship" on mysql but now i have downloaded wamp and it can't access mysql when i access mysql it still accepts the starship password. What can I do to get this working?

you need to uninstall the apache and mysql you installed.
