The "WampIcon > Config Files > php.ini" is pointing to the file "C:\wamp\Apache\php.ini" Setting made here does not seem to bring any visible change in the server's behaviour.
I made the changes in the php.ini file at "C:\wamp\Apache2\bin\php.ini" and the server behaviour changed.
This is how I discovered the issue.
My script was giving "Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in ..." The change required was: "max_execution_time = 1000 ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds"
On changing the php.ini file setting at "C:\wamp\Apache\php.ini", I did NOT see any change in the server's behaviour.
When I changed the php.ini file at "C:\wamp\Apache2\bin\php.ini", the script worked fine.
If there is an error with regards to which php.ini file is being edited and which is actually causing the server's behaviour to change, i think the link pointing to the correct php.ini file needs to be corrected.
Hi!, I guess you are pointing out the fact that this issue had already been posted before and also that reposting an issue is not a good forum practice. Thanks for the reminder.
Just as an afterthougth, I wouldn't have discovered that this issue has been posted before as I wouldn't have understood french anyway (I guess that is the language that dominates most of the postings.)
Anyway, thanks for reading my post and hope you will act upon it soon.
